To the anon who is leaving multiple messages telling me that I’m fat and ugly: Here is the requested picture of yours truly. You will notice that I am in no way fat. And I am beautiful, because that is how God made me.

I’m glad you picked me. Really, I am. I would much rather take in alllll your hate messages, than have them in the asks of girls who actually might act on those thoughts that you plant in their pretty little minds. Did you ever think of that? What if, someday, you meet a lady in a grocery store. You become friends. Even though she is older, you decide that she would be an awesome mentor. So you go out to coffee. And maybe she tells you that her life is great. But maybe she tells you that her daughter committed suicide because of an anonymous hate message that finally sent her over the edge.

What would you say? Because it very well could have been you.

But my point here is not to yell, lecture, or belittle you. My heart breaks for you, actually. To be going through so much pain that you have to take it out on another person anonymously? That’s intense. So, know that I’m praying for you.

And one more thing. You tried to tell me that what I do here doesn’t make a difference. You told me to go die. And I want to tell you why I do this. Because all of these people? They matter.

If I can save just one person from cutting themselves tonight, if I can lend an understanding spirit to one person who is struggling with an eating disorder, depression, or suicidal thoughts…if I can make just one person feel good about themselves for even just ONEsecond of their day…then everything has been worth it.

Jesus has set me free from the darkness. And I am determined to go back into it, light in hand, to do everything that I possibly can to help the dear people who are stuck there. They are my brothers and sisters. They are warriors in a battle that I KNOW is extremely difficult to win. And they matter.

Every single one.

In John 13, Jesus told his disciples that the world will be able to recognize his followers simply by looking at the way we love each other. The world will know us by observing our love, a love that isn’t logical, because it’s Jesus’ love. I love that He fills us up so that we can pour it out, especially since we are in no way deserving of any of it. He loves us anyway. He loves me anyway. Isn’t that amazing?!

You are loved, anon.

My God… this is what love, humility, and compassion looks like.

I KNOW HER!!! :D you’re so awesome, Amada :)

she is amazing<3
